WHY TYD MEMBERSHIP ?
It is due to TYD that Tourism Investment has been accepted as a profession in Turkey.
Tourism has now become a leading sector in the Turkish economy. It is not an exaggeration to state that tourism investors have the largest role in this fact.
It is natural and essential for Tourism investors, who play a vital role in the sector as well as the country’s economy, to have a professional organization of their own.
This is what TYD (Turkish Tourism Investors Association) is all about.
TYD members are all decision making people, in the establishment of facilities and enterprises that are our sources of pride.
TYD has been the initiator to bring up important issues such as regional incentives, transparency in assignment of investment property, sustainable tourism, quality destination management, role of tourism investors in the economy, tourism master plan, investment principles and size, all of which have been instrumental for development of this sector and for problem solving.
Our association has numerously proven to be a pioneer in this sector with its vision and mission. This quality is derived from its honorable and powerful members.
TYD has solved fundamental problems for its members in the business world (such as; discount in electricity prices, the stamp tax issue on contracts, investment allowance for allocated land, standardization of servitude contracts.) Such issues being tackled and solved are for the benefit of not only our members but the whole sector.
Our members are able to communicate to TYD, any problems related to their regional sector which may in turn be of interest to other members. TYD will step in and take action in those cases.
Our sectoral problems are being taken to top level authorities by TYD, not only in writing but by visiting and explaining these issues and then by following up on them.
Dialogue between members has proven to be very useful in the solution of common problems. TYD’s periodic dinner parties, regional meetings or travels as groups within Turkey and internationally have been valuable to form such dialogue. TYD always invites top level guest speakers from the Public or Private sector to its dinner meetings.
When required, TYD shares its opinion with its members, on subjects such as, project architects for investments, investment advisors, finance possibilities, feasibility study comments, management and royalty agreements and in general on professional services issues. Occasionally, TYD organizes international tours for its members if they so demand, for the purpose of investment observations or for participating in investment exchanges / forums.TYD, which brings together principal investors and operators within its organization, ranging from accommodation, marinas, tourist transportation, tour operation, shopping and entertainment centers, to golf courses, currently has a capacity of 250 thousand beds, 25 thousand airplane seats, 8 thousand yachts and employs 400 thousand people and additionally represents 22 Billion USD investment portfolio which corresponds to 2/3 of total investment in Tourism by the private sector.
TYD will continue to cooperate with public authorities and all concerned institutions on behalf of its members, in order to create solutions in accordance with its vision and goals.
You are the owner of the Turkish Tourism Investors Association (TYD), which also aims for improvement of mutual support and social relations among members, and is the largest and most top level Non-Governmental Organization in the sector.
